La riqualificazione della ex Caserma Rossani come modello di riqualificazione urbanistica e connessione tra gli spazi urbani ed universitari

Defining a new perspective on the accessibility of university spaces connected to the urban fabric is combined with thinking of a more inclusive university life. The perspective provided by urban regeneration, understood as the set of actions through which the right to the city is guaranteed, as well as the tools related to city life, outlines a series of measures aimed at promoting the full integration of the person in every sphere in which he or she performs his or her personality, such as: the reduction of inequalities, social cohesion and inclusiveness. These actions aim to remove the disabling conditions that prevent the development of the person in the city and his or her participation in the life of the community. In the urban regeneration project, which involved the construction of the Academy of Fine Arts at the site of the former Caserma Rossani in Bari, a depressed area of the city of Bari located in the centre between the university poles was redeveloped.
