The paper is focused on the innovative application of the Process Mining Organization (PMO) methodology oriented on the optimization of the Human Resources (HR) in hospitals. Specifically, the paper discusses the PMO design steps and a first approach matching data processing with the organizational execution plan. Specifically, the research is applied to a Hospitalization Unit (HU) as case study with the goal to optimize organizational processes by through Artificial Intelligence (AI) data-driven approach decreasing the fall risks in patient rooms. The study begins with the process ‘AS IS’ mapping to design a PMO ‘TO BE’ workflow including organizational interventions deduced from data processing. The ‘pipeline’ design is performed by the Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN) and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) standards. The algorithms used for data processing are the correlation matrix estimating the Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and the Fuzzy c-Means clustering algorithm.
