This work proposes a framework for a hardware protection system aimed at enhancing malware detection in Internet of Things devices. The framework incorporates a circuit obfuscation mechanism based on the generation and management of cryptographic keys used to unlock and enable the functionality of the IoT hardware circuit. The proposed architecture relies on the design of a logic circuit capable of processing cryptographic keys generated and managed through Software Development Kit tools, thereby strengthening hardware-level protection against malware attacks. A proof-of-concept implementation of a hybrid hardware–software security system is presented, demonstrating the feasibility of an enhanced framework based on a multi-key architecture to improve system resilience and security.
