CORPORATIRISM: DYNAMICS AND CONTRADICTIONS IN FASCIST ECONOMIC POLICY

The subject of corporatism has attracted the attention of academics in many disciplines over time, thus originating a remarkable and substantial bibliography. Corporatism offered the State the opportunity to become an active participant in the national economic system through a connection between public and private sector. However, this project failed to revive national economy through corporatism, as indeed happened to some democratic governments. The failure of this objective was due to the ambition to face the liberal system decay, a major change for the country, with the implementation of the corporate system that since the beginning highlighted difficulties in the separation between public and private, where these boundaries were crossed and modified during the w ork or as necessary.

Il corporativismo: dinamiche e contraddizioni nella politica economica fascista · Il tema del corporativismo ha nel tempo interessato studiosi di molte discipline, dando vita a un patrimonio bibliografico notevole e consistente. Il corporativismo offriva allo Stato la possibilità di divenire parte attiva nel sistema economico nazionale attraverso un processo di collegamento tra pubblico e privato. Tale progetto non riuscì tuttavia a risollevare l’economia nazionale, come del resto accadde ad alcuni governi democratici. Il fallimento di tale obiettivo era da ricondurre all’ambizione di voler affrontare la decadenza del sistema liberale, un cambiamento importante per il Paese, con l’attuazione del sistema corporativo che fin dall’inizio evidenziò difficoltà nella separazione tra pubblico e privato, dove tali confini erano superati e modificati in corso d’opera e all’occorrenza.
